This one's a combined new single and Reload from Almighty. 'I Promised Myself' was originally released as a single by Nick Kamen in 1990, taken from his album Move Until We Fly.  Once a model, known for his 1985 appearance in Levi's Laundrette commercial, Kamen re-established himself as a singer/songwriter, a very successful one at that! After earning a No.5 hit in 1986, 'I Promised Myself' smashed No. 1 in eight European countries and was the fourth most played record in Europe upon its release.  

Since then, the song has been the subject of covers and mix-ups spanning all genres, most notably Dead Or Alive's 1999 version and Eurodance DJ Basshunter's in 2009.

It was Almighty's turn to give the track some lovin' in 2005; two mixes of it appeared on the compilation 'Handbag Heaven: Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' . Now, with Belle Lawrence Month in the midst, we could see no better option than to revive this one for a reload! We've drafted in Matt Pop's production expertise to bring us some brand-spanking new mixes of this beautiful cover!
