'Shut Up And Dance' is a song originally recorded by US pop-rock band Walk the Moon in 2014, alongside song writing duo Captain Cuts (artists Ben Berger and Ryan McMahon) for the band's second studio album, 'Talking Is Hard'.
Written as an anthem for letting off steam and having fun, the song's infectious energy and 80's pop-rock pastiche production made it a surefire radio hit, becoming the band's biggest hit single to date! Reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as taking the top spot on the Alternative Songs and Adult Contemporary charts, the track also reached the top ten in the UK, Australia, and Canada!
