'What Is Love' is a dance song released in 1993 by Trinidadian-German singer Haddaway. Characterised by its existential cry of 'What is love?' in the chorus as well as its bustling synth patterns and quintessential 90s production, the song reached no. 1 in 13 countries as well as reaching no. 2 in the UK charts.

The track is taken from Haddaway's self-titled album and despite charting relatively well, the rest of the LP didn't get as much attention as its lead single even though Allmusic opined that "This fine album is a must for fans of quality, well-produced Euro-pop and early-1990s dance music".

Our very own Almighty Showgirls supergroup were raving when we asked them to take on this classic one-hit-wonder, matched with a sizzling dancefloor production from the Almighty team! Taking the 90s house sound that Almighty achieved its biggest success with and bringing it bang up to date for today's dancefloors, as ever we're in for a real treat from the Showgirls!
