'Venus' is a synth-fulled dance-pop track released by racy pop star Lady Gaga. Initially due to be released as the second single, Venus is the first promotional single from the pop superstar's third and latest album, ARTPOP. This song was suggested to Almighty by Jason from Euro Dance Hits, and we think it was an excellent choice.
Critically renowned for her striking vocals alongside an undeniably catchy chorus, the song lyrically presents Gaga as the goddess of love, from Sandro Botticelli's painting The Birth of Venus which is also featured on the album cover of ARTPOP. The song has an immediately familiar sound, sampling the French electronic duo Zombie Zombie's cover of cosmic disco pioneer Sun Ra's 'Rocket Number 9'!
