Motiv 8 is Steve Rodway - one of the UK's top remixers - showering the world with dancefloor remixes, which skillfully gave precedent to the original vocals and essence of a song, whilst creating an electronic dance treat that propelled tracks into the biggest clubs and onto the world's radio waves...

Almighty's celebration album includes the some of the best and most famous remixes Motiv 8 ever created, from Saint Etienne, Pulp, Gina G, Dubstar and The Doobie Brothers!

Opening the show is Motiv 8's 'Listen to the Music' by The Doobie Brothers which, like 'Rockin' for Myself', was one of Motiv 8's earliest hits. Motiv 8 soon became one of the most talked about names in the music business and it wasn't long before everyone wanted a crossover remix... including Jarvis Cocker and Steve Mackey from Pulp!'Common People' was already riding high on the airwaves at this time, but when the Motiv 8 commissioned mix was heard it quickly replaced the original mix on UK playlists!

As well as famed for remixing, Almighty have not forgotten Rodway's own singles such as 'Rockin' for Myself' and 'Break The Chain' - both of which are included in this must-have collection! Plus, we simply had to include one of Motiv 8's highest-profile creations ever - the composition and production of the song 'Ooh Aah... Just A Little Bit' for Gina G! 'Ooh Aah... Just A Little Bit' was the 1996 UK entry into the Eurovision Song Contest and a subsequent UK No. 1, platinum and international hit, selling over 2 million copies worldwide! It still holds the record as the last UK Eurovision entry to achieve a chart No. 1! Over in the US, the song became so popular that Motiv 8 received a Grammy nomination and an ASCAP award!
