Chariots of Fire

Chariots of Fire was the 1981 instrumental single from Greek composer Vangelis that became the unmistakable and official theme tune for the London 2012 Olympic Games - forming the soundtrack to every single medal ceremony and featuring in the mesmerising opening ceremony!

It was originally written as the soundtrack for historical Brit flick Chariots of Fire, which told the true story of two athletes competing in the 1924 Olympics; one running for the glory of God and the other to escape prejudice... and it has been synonymous with the Games ever since!

Now Olympic fever has just about died down, we wanted to bring you something extra special to celebrate the hard work of the world-class athletes that competed in this year's Games. And the Almighty boys have certainly done them justice with their four fabulous mixes of this timeless tune!
