Amanda Lear - model, singer, lyricist, composer, painter, TV presenter, actress and novelist!  This iconic disco legend began her career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s and was also the muse of Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.  In the mid-1980s she positioned herself as one of the leading media personalities in mainland Europe, especially in Italy and France where she hosted many long-running TV shows, yet it was her career in the mid-1970s to the early 1980s that she will be most known to Almighty fans for - making her fortune as a disco queen.

Her step into a musical vocation really started in 1975 when, disillusioned by a conservative fashion industry, she was encouraged by her then boyfriend, David Bowie, to launch a career in music.  A resurgance of popularity came with her recent album 'Brief Encounters' and the brand new album 'I Don't Like Disco', which has just been released on iTunes!  Check it out here!
