Haven't heard it yet. What type of music is it? Her usual stuff, or is it danceable?

did you like the concept side of 'Hounds of Love'?
Well it's a lot like that with a few 'Womans work's' thrown in too!
I'd say one of her best albums.....

I've not heard good reports about it. Apparently, the production is a bit murky (home studio) and she has gone all domestic on us now she has a kid. There's a song about her washing machine and another about her son that has naff lyrics.

Rather naughtily, it was a double set (for either creative or monetary reasons) even though both discs would fit on a single disc (time-wise), thus bumping up the price.

It can be found for £9.99 if you know where to look. And I guess we can't really expect it to be pop-dance. Reviews have been mixed, though the anticipation of a new album at long last has boosted interest. I think she probably needs contemporary producers and other songwriters if she is going to survive in the modern musical world.

At one time Kates music publishers were told not to let anyone cover any of her hits, as soon as a licence went in they sent out a cease and disisst letter, thats why many of her covers have turned up from Italy, where they get away with murder!
George Michael was the same when he was in Wham, and Nirvana made Klone destroy 1000 12" singles of the "Drugs Don't Work", however she may have mellowed with age. Running Up That Hill is still such a great track, imagine that with a tribal NRG backing!!
We are only held back by our imagination!

The Utah Saints sampled `Cloudbusting` in 1992`ish . Does that count?

Cover versions of Running Up That Hill have been done by: Levy 9, Sweep, Canyon, Cartouche, Distance, Elastic Band, Infrared, Kateb, Placebo, Ultrawave and Within Temptation.

The original 12" mix (which is a bonus track on the Hounds of Love reissue) was played in clubs at the time - it was 108bpm but suited the Eurobeat/sleaze sound of that time. I've done my own clubby re-edit of it at 120bpm and that sounds cool - speeded up without altering the key (no Minnie Mouse vocals).

Ben Liebrand remixed the original Kate Bush version for his Dutch radio show. The mix remains sealed in his vaults, as he told me himself. He would often do exclusive new remixes for his show.

No, but I believe GRUNDY have sold episodes to SBS Belgium...shame, I would love to see it again! I'll never forget the cliff hanger with the exploding vacuum cleaner lol.

Ooh yes, I loved Sons and Daughters. I was a fresh young teenager working in a pub and used to dash home after my lunchtime shift to watch it. Always used to fancy Terry, what a nice denim-clad butch clone he was  And Patricia was Queen Bitch to rule them all, until her mother turned up. The Patricia actress changed too, justified by the character appparently having plastic surgery after a car crash in the storyline. Brilliant stuff. From an era when soaps were fabulous, not the gloomy, grubby, common rubbish we get today.

You've got me all nostalgic now. Would love to watch that dishy uber-butch Terry again! 8) 8)
