Hannah Jones - Rise

by mrjop1975 » Wed May 25, 2011 2:29 am

I am hoping it's okay to put Hannah in the Almighty Music section.

When I got my Jackie 'O' Bitch album, I also picked up a still sealed copy of the Rise album. It was great hearing Hannah tackle some mid tempo numbers, some ballads, and of course the dance tracks she's known for. A must have.

I do have her Coming Back For More on my iPod, but decided in the spirit of things to place an order for it and hopefully within a week or two it will come in from the U.K.

We are working our way through all the Hannah Jones catalogue making it available on digital platforms.

We have only done 3 re-loads of Hannah Jones over the past 4 years. Plenty more work could be achieved in this area.

'And I Am telling You' being this years re-load update.

I noticed the single of "Rise" has been up on US iTunes and Amazon - of course I downloaded it the second it came out. Love the different mixes of that track.

It is now over 20 years ago that we started work with Hannah Jones.

She did a blinding performance for us with 'Young Hearts Run Free'. We then made the decision to sign her to Almighty/ East Side and produce a full album for her.

It was in 1996 that we produced 'No One Can Love You More Than Me' that we received interest from the USA and then subsequently licensed the project to BMG.
