WIN EXCLUSIVE PRE-RELEASE SINGLES!
This month we're offering one lucky person the chance to win not one, but two exclusive, pre-release singles from Almighty's favourite artist Déjà Vu feat. Tasmin!
Déjà Vu feat. Tasmin are back and better than ever in 2012 and have given not only Mike Oldfield's 'Moonlight Shadow' an Almighty makeover, but also Keane's 'This Is The Last Time', and we just can't stop playing them in the Almighty office...
'Moonlight Shadow' was the 80's pop treat, written and performed by English multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield with vocals performed by Scottish vocalist Maggie Reilly, who also recorded vocals for the Almighty track 'I'll Do Anything For Love'. This catchy tune has become Oldfield's most successful single to date, reaching No. 1 in several countries. 'Moonlight Shadow' was voted for by Almighty Club Members in November 2011 as the classic track they would most like to see made by Almighty. 'Moonlight Shadow' has been covered by countless artists, including Koto and Missing Heart, but we're sure you'll agree that Déjà Vu feat. Tasmin's latest version is the best to date!
This month, we gave fans the chance to remix an Almighty track and this single includes one of the successful entries - the Northernbeat (Ross Alexander) mix, which is a name you may recognise from mixes in Klone's popular 'Mad About The Boy' collections and from the guilty dancefloor treats of the 'Pumpin' Anthems' collections!
...Keep playing after track 6 for an additional hidden surprise! (The bonus track - 'Almighty Anthem Mix'.)
Tracklist:
01. Almighty Essential Radio Edit
02. Almighty Essential Club Mix
03. Matt Pop Radio Edit
04. Matt Pop Club Mix
05. Northernbeat Radio Edit
06. Northernbeat Club Mix
'This Is The Last Time' is the classic hit from British rock band, Keane. It was released in 2003 following the success of 'Everybody's Changing' and served as the prequel to the massive 'Somewhere Only We Know' (which has also been re-made by Déjà Vu and is included on the new 'best of' album, 'Almighty Presents: Get To You - This Is The Last Time'). Released initially in 2003, and then re-released again in 2004 to a great reception, Keane made not one, not two, not even three, but four videos to accompany the song!
The track, written by Tim Rice-Oxley, is about regret, confusion and separation, but we can assure you that you won't regret dancing to Déjà Vu feat. Tasmin's new upbeat version, that's for sure!
In response to our forum post to remix an Almighty track, this single includes a succesful entry from newcomer Fabio Stern. Stern is a Brazilian musician who began composing in 2002 and producing electronic music in late 2004, but this remix is his first to be released by a label as big as Almighty Records. Stern also lists Déjà Vu as his favorite Almighty artist and we know they are really impressed with his remix.
Tracklist:
01. Almighty Essential Radio Edit
02. Almighty Essential Club Mix
03. Almighty Radio Edit
04. Almighty Club Mix
05. Fabio Stern Radio Edit
06. Fabio Stern Club Mix
We won't be releasing these two singles to the public for another three months, as they are Club Member exclusives, but we thought we'd give one lucky fan the chance to win both Déjà Vu feat. Tasmin singles, 'Moonlight Shadow' and 'This Is The Last Time' featuring all the remixes, ahead of the crowd!
If you want to get your hands on this exclusive prize, have a go at answering the question below:
