Amanda Lear - model, singer, lyricist, composer, painter, TV presenter, actress and novelist!  This iconic disco legend began her career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s and was also the muse of Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.  In the mid-1980s she positioned herself as one of the leading media personalities in mainland Europe, especially in Italy and France where she hosted many long-running TV shows, yet it was her career in the mid-1970s to the early 1980s that she will be most known to Almighty fans for - making her fortune as a disco queen.

Her step into a musical vocation really started in 1975 when, disillusioned by a conservative fashion industry, she was encouraged by her then boyfriend, David Bowie, to launch a career in music.  A resurgance of popularity came with her recent album 'Brief Encounters' and the brand new album 'I Don't Like Disco', which has just been released on iTunes this week!  Check it out here!
